Join us at the Burnaby Velodrome this February 24-25th in support of the inaugural Western Challenge, the only Nationally sanctioned track race in Western Canada. With racing taking place all day Friday and Saturday there will be plenty of opportunities to catch the action.
Friday evening caters more towards the adult crowd with tunes being spun by DJ Wataru, a full beer garden featuring brews by Burnaby’s own Dageraad Brewing, and C’est si Bon dishing out French comfort food.
Saturday takes on a decidedly more family flavor. Racing starts at 6:00pm and highlights include a kiddie kilo for children of all ages, face painting, and more. The beer garden will still be around for everyone 19 and older but plenty of food and drinks for our younger guests will be available.
Don’t understand the racing? No problem, our announcer is ready to clue you in on all the action. And just in case you get lost in the roar of the crowd, we’ll have live scoring on site so you can follow along. Whether you’re there to cheer on your friends or soak up the atmosphere, come out and support Western Canada’s only indoor velodrome.
